Catastrophic failure in my sump....argh.

Well noticed a puddle, small, under my stand. Pretty weird so I investigated further and found a slow drip at one of the seams in my sump. I built it and it was my first build with acrylic.

Luckily it occurred in the front section, refugium, so blocked flow to that section drained it took everything out and transferred it to my emergency tank, 10g bow front. I resealed the seam from the inside but I'm going to remove the sump entirely in the near future.

I'm too nervous about this happening again.

Going to send the design to a local acrylic shop and a local glass shop...sucks it's going to prolly cost a ton...

The biggest shocker was the look on my wife's face when it went down...not good.

Ya that is the up side, I'm going to increase the height by two inches for a little more insurance. Just got off the horn with my buddy who has a 125g, his tank is my contingency plan for my livestock, hope nothing goes wrong I'll never get that shrimp back if he goes to that tank.

The other up side is I think I was lucky to have extra stuff around to keep the live rock and some of the sand going. It's a good learning experience.
