finding molts

I not sure how well the pics are going to help, but I find these molts on a regular basis. I have not found whole body molts, so my question is crab or pistol shrimp?

Not sure they're molts. All inhabitants accounted for?

All accounted for. I was not aware of any crabs except hermits in my tank and only four cleaner shrimp. I did have a sandy colored hitchhiker crab a few months ago that was added to the sump

Healthy inverts molt all the time. Especially after a move to a new aquarium or a big water change, I've found. May be worth getting an iodine test Kit. Correct iodine levels are beneficial and necessary for healthy inverts

I do have a lfs checking my levels for me bi weekly and advising me on the amount. I just purchased a refractometer and a couple other tests (alk, mag and calcium) so I have to wait a bit longer to purchase the other test kits.

Definitely looks like a hermit, and a fairly big one too. Must be at least 1".
