Aquamaxx HOB-1 overflowing

I just got this skimmer so I'm aware of it's need to break in. I'm not concerned about the overflowing cup back into the skimmer or microbubble production at this point.

My problem is that foam is escaping around the o-ring that is around the skimmer cup and also occasionally pushing the cover up on the cup and overflowing there. I've got the cup as high as it'll go and this limits what's coming out around the cover, but has no affect on what's leaking around the o-ring.

Any ideas on how to get the o-ring to seal better?

OK I found a couple threads and got my answer. Funny how google can find a thread on RC easier than the native search does . I've got the airline tied in a knot to restrict the bubble production while it breaks in. Time will tell.

While mine was breaking in, I connected a piece of airline hose and a valve to the air intake and used it to tune until it stopped overflowing.
