Post DI TDS

At what TDS reading do you change the DI resin? Mine is 22 and I'm guessing it may be time.

I change mine at anything over 0. 22 seems really high for post membrane. What are you starting at?

I started at zero once I added the DI canister, it was an add on.

Do you know what your water is before it enters the system at all, or at least pre RO membrane?

I change mine once I see 1 TDS on the meter too. My RODI is a 5 stage and has a 2 stage DI. When the first DI cartridge reads 1TDS, it's switched and that preserves the second DI cartridges life. I get nearly 1000 gallons out of my first stage DI and much more out of the second stage despite my 475+ TDS tap water. I always keep spare cartridges on hand and keep my spare DI's in the refrigerator to prolong their shelf life.

I have 2 DI stages. TDS coming out of the RO and into the 1st stage of DI is around 15. I keep my newest DI resin in my last DI stage. Once that last stage registers 1 I move it to the first stage and put new DI resin in the last stage. This lets me use up as much of the DI resin as possible.
