Scooter Blennies
Will a Ruby red scooter blenny and a regular Red scooter blenny get along in a reef tank.Will they pair up or stay separate?

Yes they will get along, not sure about pairing up.

Do you dose your aquarium? Or check your alk cal and mag? Its possible the brain was already decaying / dieing and the shrimp noticed and began the scavenging. That's a possibility anyways.

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2468023 to the OP, those are both the same fish. check out the compatibility thread sticky, ask there. i don't keep scooters, but they are a type of dragonet, like my mandarin, and i know for my mandy it is best to have a male/female pair, with the male being slightly larger than the female to help avoid aggression. i would suspect it may be a similar story with these guys, but verify, just in case. also, they are potential jumpers, so a tight fitting lid is a good idea.
