hermits mating or fighting?
Just now I observed my Halloween hermits engaged in some weird behavior. One was retracted into its shell while the other was. ..Well... humping it... lol. I couldn't see if it was passing a spermatophore, but it was gyrating and reaching in the others shell. Neither were hurt, and Immediately afterwards they went back to peacefully scavenging beside one another, which makes me think they weren't fighting. Is anyone familiar with this?

It depends. Did you happen to be playing any Barry White at the time of the incident?

No, I had Barry Manilow on, though, which may have had a similar Barry effect...

i had 2 blue leg hermits a long time ago and they always did that. i thought one was trying to kill the other to get the shell.

Does one of the hermits have a purple shell with #27 on it?
