JoeM's Innovative Marine Build

Well guys, I know there is a separate sub-forum for nanos, but I believe this belongs here as well. Im really going with the best of the best and taking my time to challenge myself with the build. I started it about a week and a half ago and the pictures below show where I am to this day. I intend to run mostly SPS in this tank and this should be a very fun build! Thanks

I went with the IM Nuvo along with a Biocube 14G Stand from my LFS. The rest were shipments from BRS, inTank and Marine Depot. They included a nano stream, Tunze Osmolator, Intank Basket (w/ media), Ghost Skimmer, etc.

Set up and clearing up

Next Shipment Arrived!

ATO All Setup and Everything nice and clean

I decided to order the AI EXT mount and rail which I knew wasn't designed for the Nano but I figured I could do some fabricating to make it work. Looks exactly as I had hoped!

Now its a waiting game! I have probably three weeks or so before I introduce inverts because of the cycling process. (Hopefully it happens sooner! but I'm not in a rush). In the meantime, I may add an MP10 and/or a RKL Controller.

After 3.5 weeks, the cycle is completed. I added my CUC and one small zoo frag yesterday. As they say, nothing good happens fast in this hobby. Im going to wait another week or so and just check that all the CUC and the zoo is in good health before adding anything else. Here is a pic from last night of the zoa frag, it was opened up ever more this morning. I will snap another picture later.

My MJ900 return pump is on my doorstep as we speak, along with some Joe's Juice for 2 aiptasia that I've spotted. I plan to install the new pump tomorrow and see how things go!

I've also installed my new RKL with temp probe and probe rack. I'll soon be adding a PH probe, SL2 and Salinty probe as well. Along with a MP10.

I did a custom mount on the Reefkeeper Lite. I wanted it to be able to be viewed from the outside. The pictures just don't do it justice! It looks incredible in person

I was able to move things around and fit the probe rack BARELY in the 3rd chamber with the heater, return pump and ATO Sensor *Shew*!
