The experimental reef system
Hi all fellow reefers!
I've been here reading for quite a while now, but i this is my first post. I am from Sweden so I might fail with the grammar and spelling from time to time. ;P The current tank I am ceeping is a system of 6x160 liter tanks + sump. Initially is was ment to be a system of fragtanks. But the experimental side of me got the upper hand :P So right now it is 1 coral/fragg-tank, 1 with fish and live rock, 1 refugium, 1 mangrove biotop tank.. The other two tanks are dark but holds about 40 kilos of live rock and a lot of sponges and filtering animals.. Enough of my bad English.. Here is some pictures |

Well.. I can't access this thred from tapatalk :/
That mean I can't put up anymore pics from my phone for now.. So I thought I could explain what kind of technical equipment i use om the system.. Thats is basicly the experimental part of the tank.. It's basicly just a return pump, streamers, light and a dosingpump for my Balling-fluids. The only filtration I have is a mecanical filtermat in the sump, about 80 kilo of live rock and one of the tanks as a refugium (about 15% of the water volume.) It have been running for about 2,5 month like this, and everything seams to thrive.. I'm sending of my first water sample of to triton-lab for testing tomorrow.. |
