Lights and sump questions
I have a 55 gallon FOWLR tank that I have had up and running for about 1 year 6 months. I have a canister filter and protein skimmer for filtration. Have approximately 60 pounds of live rock and about a 4 inch sand bed.
One question is about my lights I have one aquatic life t5HO with a 10,000k (I'm pretty sure anyways) and a actinic bulb. And also a fluval full spectrum reef capable 25,000 k Led light. I was curious what types of coral would my lights be capable of growing? (I need to change the t5 bulbs soon so if I need different ones I can get them) And for the second question. My tank is not drilled so I have to go with the hob overflow. Any suggestions on a overflow and sump pump combo? It only needs to pump up to the tank about 4 foot. Also my sump will be a 30g tank. But that's a discussion for another thread. Thanks in advance! Also this is my first saltwater tank. I know I'm going to have to get rid of the canister but at the moment it only holds carbon and I threw my live rock rubble in a tray. |
