Lol, I was trying to figure out if he meant that the peppermint would instinctively not eat the last aptasia because it would run out of snacks.

I just dropped a CBB into the mix in my 120G. I've had a crash recently, so if I wake up tomorrow with no more coral, I won't cry much, but I basically had the same mix of coral.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I have in my tank

1-spiny puffer

1-Niger trigger

1-panther grouper

1-foxface

2-spotanious clowns

2-sand sifting starfish

Corals

Frogspawns

Duncans

Zoos

Feather dusters

And misc. Others

Nudibranches are nocturnal so they aren't easy pickings. Also, I don't think they are palatable to most fish.

Cool

Hi guys, i used to have my tank with more of 100 aptasias, i did get 8 peppermint and at the same time i used Elimi-Aiptas to kill them all, so that and the shrimps finish all of them.

Peppermints work. I've had great success with them. Bergia also work, but a bit pricey now or so it would appear. I have also had great success with the matted filefish. At first I thought the filefish was a bit ugly but honestly the thing is just too cool now. It can change color to some degree depending on what it is near and zeroed out 100% of my troubles.

I was going to turn the filefish back to the local fish store but since he is eating black worms and pellets I figured I'd keep him. Great fish, calm, cool, and collect.

I move my filefish to the sump, after he's 'cleaned' the tank...they've been known to pick on anemones when the aiptasia is gone.

My nudies were out 24/7, not just at night.

They must have been hungry.

I had my best results with a matted filefish. My 75 has been manjo and aptasia free for three months.

I tried 15 nudibranch, putting 2 in my refugium, 3 in my overflow(since I saw many small aiptasia in there) , and 3 in a separate three gallon tank with a rock that had a few aiptasia on it, and the rest in my main 90 gallon tank. That was about 2 months ago. I dont think they did much. The ones in my tiny tank never did eat the aiptasia on the rock in that tank. The overflow aiptasia is still there, tho there might be a few left. They did eat some of the aiptasia that was near the area that I first put them. Really it was a waste of $$$$$.

I have had aiptasia since I set up my tank with used rocks that apparently had aiptasia on it. I try to get rid of the aiptasia when I find it. I notice that aiptasia x might kiill then for a while but they usually come back in greater numbers than before.

My newest way is to have the aiptasia attach to a different rock that I lay on top of them or next to the aiptasia blocking their light. Once it moves I take the rock out and rinse it in hot water and scrub the rock and leave it out of the tank for at least a month. It does work but you must be patient.

Peppermints

My 29G Biocube got infested with them. Thought it was out of control. No luck with Berghia but peppermints worked well. Make sure you get ones that actually eat them.

I had put in 12 bergia and they did not do much at all I pulled out all inverts and went with copper. I also had a small ich issue. I did find 10 large bergia and two egg cases which went in a 10 gallon with all the other inverts. Had lots of die off and red slime . Its extreme but I was unable to grow stuff due to high po3 I think around 30 I added bio pellets and going for another round of copper. My tank was 90% aptasia

Only sure natural approach is nudibranch. $150 to seed tank well would do the trick
