Blue Zoo Aquatics-dead cleaner shrimp

I ordered a cleaner shrimp which was overnighted by FedEx 10:30AM delivery. Came at 9:45 DOA. I know it happens but now I lost the shipping cost and wanted to let you know that you're taking your chances as with anybody online. Currently waiting for my refund.

My recollection is that you receive only a vendor credit rather than a refund.

It is. And it's only good for livestock. Blue zoo is probably the worst vendor I've dealt with.

Plus, in my case, it took months of emails just to get the credit. On top of that, they had rude service throughout, even when dealing with Mark Martin (the owner, I believe) himself.

It's borderline ethical in my opinion, since in most cases, the losses are probably not enough to overcome another shipping charge. So you either order more (and they make up the cost of their mistake with additional sales), or you end up never using it (so free money for them).

Oh, and btw, make sure you freeze the item, they may ask you to ship it back to them.

Avoid them like the plague.

yea i will avoid them and every online vendor no matter who it is. My first CUC had 50% casualties a few months back. For me online ordering is done. Problem is I can't get a G-D skunk cleaner shrimp without driving an hour in each direction and they are even out of stock.....unreal

I've had great experiences with Live Aquaria, and especially their Diver's Den, for what it's worth.

Likewise. Never a hassle.
