skimmer upgrade??

I am in the middle of a 20l mixed reef build and it will be complemented by a 15 gal sump.
I would like to keep maybe 3-4 small fish along with zoas, lps, eventually sps, and maybe a clam. I was given an aes euro nano skimmer ll which may or may not work till I can upgrade. I have designed my sump, still needs built, around upgrading to a reef octopus nwb-110 as I can carry it over to my eventual 40b build but that my be years from now so it got me thinking. I would like to maximize my fuge space and that particular skimmer has a rather large footprint so I started looking into the reef octopus bh-50 and similar. Was wondering what others thoughts and suggestions are, any input is welcome.

Reefdynamics a little pricey but worth every penny won't be looking back at that purchase. Once you buy one thing from them then everything else you want that they make you will be wanting that stuff to. Take a look at there site plus you will find YouTube postings as whale.

The ins80 looks pretty good and would be perfect in this application and has great reviews but at $299 its a little outta my price range. I was also looking into the tunze 9004, aquaticlife 115, and the eshopps in sump skimmer. I'm leaning toward the reef octopus bh-50 as I've always heard good things for the most part and the price is about right as I'm limited to about $200. The only reason I'm really looking into a smaller skimmer is to try and increase my fuge section to about 12in and the ins80 is about the same footprint as the nwb110.

Actually it was your post that first brought this skimmer to my attention and made me start rethinking my choice. What do you have the water level at? I dont recall it specified anywhere just the measurements for it.
