Powdery water

So yesterday I noticed what appears do be a fine white powder/ dust all over in the water if my tank. It had me somewhat worried since I just added a blue chromis and a peppermint shrimp. Any ideas of what it could be. I think it may have something to do with my salt (reef crystals). I assume a water change is in order to get rid of it

Did you dose or add anything or did it just appear? It sounds like it could be calcium precip but hard to say without more info.

it appeared yesterday morning before the chromis and shrimp were added, probably shouldn't have added them before checking on what it was but both are eating good and very active, do not dose or add any additives, I'm going to test the water tomorrow after work
