Help choosing float switch

I need help choosing a float switch or float valve. I have a 55 gallon Brute can and the R/O water goes in, but I need a switch to shut off the R/O when the can gets full. I went to Home Depot thinking it would be no big deal, but everything I saw had some brass on it, so I want to order the switch/ valve from BRS.
The problem is that I have no idea what I am doing. BRS has several and I have no idea which to get. Which one will be the simplest to set up? Which is the most reliable? What are the differences?
I just want to connect the tubing from the R/O into the switch/ valve, so the water flows through it, then when the switch gets raised, I want the water to shut off. A ball valve inside makes the most sense to me. I'd rather not have anything that plugs in.
Can some expert please chime in and tell me which to get?
