Super Glue on aquarium glass?

Quick question, is it safe to use super glue on the glass, will it simply scrape off with a razor down the road, I want to add a couple small dabs to the bottom of some flat bottom coral frags to keep them in place with higher flow. (bare-bottom tank)

I recently tried to fix a broken stem on a wine glass with superglue-it didn't work at all. I don't think you'll have a problem getting superglue off the glass-the question is will the frags stay put?

Just scrape it off with a razor blade

It should just scrape off when you're ready...assuming it holds at all. If you have coralline growing on the bottom though, it'll definitely stick to that.

In this case can anyone recommend a product that would work well?

Super glue will easily scrape off of glass with a razor blade if it will even stick at all which I doubt.

I wonder if a 2 part epoxy would stick.

Super glue gel will work on the glass but don't expect it to hold very well. Once you apply a little pressure to the frag the glue becomes paper thin & is easily dislodged from the glass. My snails used to knock frags loose all the time.

If there's some coralline algae on the glass though the bond is much better. That grit definitely makes a difference.

The epoxy doesn't work at all IME.

Honestly, if I was going to do that, I'd just use 2 part epoxy and squish it around the base of the plug to make it a little more of a wider base and stand it up like that. Then you can move them around and if snails an such get to them, they might just push the plug rather than knock it over (assuming the epoxy base is wide enough.
