water?
I was wondering what was in my tap water today. i looked at the petaluma city water department site and this is what i came up with. All and all it looks clean not RO/DI clean
I am waiting for my RO/DI to come in the mail do you think this is safe to start my new tank? I don't want to lug home 150 gal of water from the LFS. Screenshot_2015-02-10-18-59-03.jpg Screenshot_2015-02-10-18-59-54.jpg |

I personally would wait for your RO/DI.
I know you want to get started, by why not get started right? I doesn't look like they add any phosphate for corrosion control, but then again they haven't tested for phosphate either. If you use tap water and something goes sideways - you're always going to wonder if it was the water. Why not just wait to eliminate that possibility. When's your RO/DI coming? In a few days? You might have this tank for 20 years. You may just need a dose of; |

+1 on patience. Also your looking a samples from a set point in time and not what is coming out of your tap right now....it may change.

+1 on everyone above...I've known several people who've used 'clean' tapwater in their reef tanks and so far absolutely ALL of them have regretted doing so.
