Just wondering how good the building filter on the biocube is?

I'm not sure what you mean by building filter. When I first set up my Biocube29, I removed the bioballs and false bottom from chamber 2. Added LR rubble and chaeto and a light, making a fuge.
2 weeks ago, after fighting hair algae and dosing algaefix, 80% of my chaeto had died back, so I removed everything from chamber2, added chemipure elite, some nitrate removing pad, ceramic rings in a mesh bag and a packet of phosban. I thought my fuge plan was OK, just too small for a real benefit, both in terms of pod production and nutrient export from the chaeto. |

Here is something you can do, not expensive at all and pretty effective as well.
