Chalice lighting

I currently have an lps tank running radion pros. I want to set up a frag tank and use half the space for chalice grow out. Any suggestions on lighting. I already have the tank, it's 11" deep, 16" wide, 2' across. Should I just go with the mini radion pro xr15 so I can run it off reeflink or something else? I also have an apex running main with 2 spots out of 16 left. Thanks for any input

What type of chalice are you growing out?

Just ordered several from cornbred and other decent ones on eBay. Nicer ones if I have any luck with them. Will be putting an mp10 on it for flow.

My best luck with chalices was lower light and T5s. Always had great growth and color. I currently have some chalices and acans under a Kessil and I'm having great results with good growth and no color shifts in the rainbow acans.

Thanks for all the input! How easy are kessil's to hook up? I'm willing to give them a try, which one should I get? Thanks

I use the 360we, but I have it turned down quite a bit. My best color is under lower light and decent flow. I have them at less than 100 PAR.

Thanks ghostman, I looked into them a bit. I'm not sure what I'll do, I'm steering more towards the little radion cause I already know how they work and it can sync up with the rest of my stuff.

Kessils come up on eBay all the time. I have owned the 360ws and 150ws both are good led lights I did not have luck with SPS and had some slight color shifts but all in all I was satisfied with them. I'm currently building a MH set so I can learn that aspect of lighting. One of the larger chalices I had loved the kessil 150w ocean blue. I spot lighted it with it, it really took on a cool shape, I'll post a pic once I get home.

Cheers

I have no SPS under the Kessil, so I can't comment on them. All my SPS are under T5 with higher PAR (300-600). The kessil does well on my smaller tank with chalices, acans, zoos, and vendors. I'm not a fan of radions at all, but I'm sure the small one will fit your tank just fine. Either the kiss or radion can be controlled with the Apex. You might already own a WXM module.
