Normal Skimmer Sound

So I'm still in the break in period on my skimmer. I took a shoot video of my skimmer. Is this normal for it to be this loud? I mean, I can hear it from across the house... Will it quiet down any once its broke in?? Also, the micro bubbles are so bad, its making a salt spray on top of the light and tubes for the skimmer as you can see from the video

I added a picture of the micro bubbles. Will they go away? Some people on here said they will and some say they wont at all.. To me they make the tank look terrible... They havent diminished at all.. How long will that take?

Also, Im working on getting my salt salinity correct. Currently, its a little high and im working on getting it down. Do you think all these bubbles have anything to do with the high salt salinity.. Its 1.03 right now

Holy moley! Just watched your video. I don't have experience with a HOB skimmer, I hope for your sake something is wrong. That would be too loud, and WAY too bubbly for my liking. Faced with the choice between using that skimmer as is or no skimmer at all, I'd gladly not have a skimmer and have bigger water changes. Fortunately there are other options if this skimmer is unfixable (different hob skimmer, run a sump with an internal skimmer, etc).

Good luck!

you should hear the rumble from my diablo...

Im not familiar with that hob but i would guess that there is some kind of issue with all those microbubbles

can you place some kind of small filter sock around the outflow pipe to act as a bubble trap?
