I have to choose either fluval sp4 or 6

300 DT. sump underneath tank so head loss is maybe 4 feet tops. Tank is FOWLR, bubble magus curve 9, 3 reactors with thier own pumps. 55 gallon sump and DT will have gyre 150 and 2 mp40s. DT has 300 lbs live rock, sump has 4 blocks of marinepure 8x8x4 and handfulls of the balls made by them too. SO the debate is if the sp 4 at 1822 gph is going to be enought turn over for the sump or if I should get the sp6 3400 gph and ball valve it? Price difference is $20. What does everyone recomend for this set up?

sp4 turn over is around 5x to 6x
sp6 can range 5x to 11x.

tank holds 2 eels about 2 feet long
all fish currently are around 6-8 inches long.
2 triggers
puffer
angel
tang
lion
tusk

Thanks in advance

What size are your drains? Whats the gph of your overflow? I have an sp4 on my 110g with 1.5" bean animal and i had to dial mine back almost half.

SP6! I would go bigger so you have the option to run extra equipment (media reactors, refugiums, external reactors, ect...) if needed. You can always dial back if too much. That in turn will also make it draw much less power.

FYI, Marine Depot has pumps on sale now. 10% off coupon code FLOW

I voted for the larger model I noticed on a particular site that the the larger model was cheaper than the middle model.
