Reef Octopus bh-1000
I've been running the bh-1000 skimmer for a few months. I knew the skimmer cup should be a dark coffee or green coffee color. I've raised my cup up past the little hole that leds into the return area. I still get creme color. Can anyone suggest any tips or tricks to get the skimmer to skim properly

I had to replace my impeller to get it to pull really dark skimmate. But, even with a heavy bioload, it still will pull only a "latte" colored skimmate a lot of the time. Depends on how heavily I feed the tank.

Mine is only a cream color and know what color it should be. I've played with the height of the cup and I still get cream I don't know how high mine cup should be. I'm way above the water line. I am trying to get a idea of where it should be. Now I don't have a heavy bio load yet. Working on it
