it should heal itself. Do you have any antibiotics like ciproflaxin you can use in a separate tank to aid in the healing process?

Regardless if it will/may heal or not, I would ask for a refund. You paid for a healthy coral....not one with a giant hole in it.

You seem to have part of the mouth left---which may help it. Be sure your alkalinity is up to 8.3.

Thanks guys. I dont have a quarantine tank for corals and am afraid it will have bacteria to infect other rics do took it out last nite. I bought it from a LFS in a different state which was selling these on facebook. What a shame! My thinking was the same i didn't buy one with a hole so why should i have to deal with healing it, not fair. Unfortunately after some conversation exchanged no sign of refund.

I don't think it would infect anything, I would have left it in to heal.

After further discussion, LFS said it is likely this is how the ric will be divided into two. I could be wrong but i have never heard of a ric divides in such manner. Any thoughts on that?
