Substrate?

Been advised to go with a quality crushed coral based topped with a fairly fine sand. Just wondering what others are using and what people find best?

I have fine sand and wish I didn't. Powerheads are always shifting the sand and making a mess. If I could do it again I'd go with something a little more coarse or all crush coral.

A good middle ground would be caribsea reef special grade. Crushed coral tends to trap a lot of detritus.

To large of argonite it will trap detritus, very fine can blow around easily. Med grade is my recommendation, or perhaps bare bottom.....?
