ID this critter? Zoa problem?
Hello all I am 3 months in and things have been going well. All of my water parameters are in the "proper" ranges but for some reason my zoanthids just won't open. I have tried doing coral dip, have tried a Hydrogen peroxide dip at the suggestion of my LFS...nothing...I identified two of these critters crawling around them today. Haven't seen this before. Can you id? Is this part of my problem?

Tough to say, but it could very well be a Zoanthid eating Nudibranch... Look here:

Zoa eating nudi.
Some wrasses will eat them. Freshwater dip of the coral could get rid of the nudi as well |

That's an interesting pest.
What lights do you have these under? HOw long have you had the Zoas? Have they ever been open? |

both rocks did well in the beginning and basically shut down on me after a couple weeks. I use this light and have the zoas toward the bottom of my tank. Will try the dip again..thanks all. I use the 48-60 version of this on my 48" 90 gallon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those lights are fine for me now. I dipped the corals and about 5 of those bastards came off. Hopefully I see some improvement. Thanks.
