1 Hydra 52 enough?

Need suggestions on lighting. I bought a used 40g that is 32X18X16. It came with a Sol Blue that I am thinking of upgrading to a Hydra 52. Would just 1 be enough for a beginner lps/sps/fish tank?

TIA
Vincent

Yes, should be ok. I would say the effective are is 2x2 vs the advertised 3x3.
