Copper treated tank
Okay, so I just purchased a 125G tank. I want to move all of my fish in, and use the 75G I have now to quarantine my fish (since some are showing signs of ich)
If I do this, does this mean I will not be able to use that tank to house inverts/corals? (Treating with copper) even if I drain out the water and dry out for a month or months etc. |

Drying doesn't remove copper.
PolyFilter can, over time. It can do a better job if there is no sand or rock in it while coppered. I would really, if it were mine, try to get some 20 gallon tanks and do tank transfer until you are free of the best. Are we talking about large fish? and a caution re copper with angels. We have a forum dedicated to fish diseases (Fish Disease)

Darn it! I have a 29G tank I use for Qt (copper) but I wanted to use my 75 gallon tank since I have no use for it. I want to resell it, but I don't want to give it to someone with copper in it... I have all Med size fish but there are 10 fish total. I'm thinking of having my smallest fish in a 10 G tank (my clowns and angel fish) and the biggest fish can go in the 29 G (piccaso trigger, tang and fox face) |
