Lymph or ick? Hm

I have 2 clownfish, one of them has a fuzzy white thing on the front of his fin towards his face. The spot hasn't gone away in a while, I would say it's been there for almost 2 weeks? He also has another tiny white spot on him toward his tail. I understand lymph sticks out, but can it also look like ick too? Small white and flat? I heard if it was ick it would have fell off and reattached. But only one clownfish has it...I followed for 8 weeks and used copper in qt. So I was really bummed when I thought I had ick again. What do yall think it is? I'm about to fallow for 10 weeks now. But if it isn't ick, I'm doing it for no reason?? All I would have to do is QT the fish or just let it be if it's lymph because there is no cure besides a healthy tank and good feelings.

Kind of hard to say without a pic. If it has been there for a solid 2 weeks then I would be inclined to say it is not ich. Could be lymph, but that is all just a guess.

There is a diagnosis section in the link see what fits.

This one is more on the base of his phone, irregular shaped, fuzzy

But the first pic fell off a while ago, the one has been there since the other fell off. But this one is flat, not poking out. Just a white dot. And Iv looked at pics, he could have both, but the spot on the base of his fin has been there for a while. Maybe over two weeks, the others have fallen off after a while and came back in a different position

If it falls off and comes back its not Lymph. Lymph is a bacterial issue with no know cure. Excellent water quality along with varied, enriched diet is the only cure and it could take weeks to months to go away

Well each spot has been on him for weeks and feel off, some more than others but it takes about a week for one of them to fall off, this other spot has been on him for 2-3 weeks? How do explain that? If it was ick wouldn't it have fallen off? This spot hasn't

Ich cyst fall off within 3-7 days so a week could still be ich. The pictures aren't the clearest so it's difficult to tell. The other spot that has been there for a few weeks sounds like Lymph to me

I also think lymph is waaay over diagnosed - if in doubt ..... must be lymph. I only ever had it in one fish, a Venusta angel, and it took a while but went away on its own (though I think it's viral not bacterial). What you have doesn't look like ich. It may simply be some kind of bacterial or fungal infection; particularly given the longer duration. In both cases I'd just feed well, keep water quality as high as possible, and just wait it out. If your fish, particularly clowns, begin the get a whitish haze with clamped fins, then you're talking brook most likely, and that most definitely cannot be waited out.

I don't know if I should start fallowing and take fish out because it might not be ick and I would be throwing away 10weeks and be stressing the fish out for no apparent reason. Or just leave them in, I have had these clowns only for a long time. And I want to add for fish to start QT. But don't know if I should take everyone out and fallow or leave it alone!

i don't think amphipod would stay at the same place on the side of the fish body for two to three weeks. it sounds like lymph to me.

Does lymph always stick off the body? Is it always relatively big? My clown has a big spot and a tiny spot

Couldn't agree more. I have only had one fish that ever had lymph and I caused it due to cupramine with a emperor angel. It took about 3 months to fully go away
