Need help for 90 gallon protein skimmer

Hello I recently noticed some Cyanobacteria aka red slime algae and I think my protein skimmer I currently own is not doing the job that being said does anyone know if this protein skimmer would do a really good job at removing excess nutrients.

I currently own a eshopp psk 150.
