Tank is leaking water but there is no leak >.>;
I have set a towel underneath my tank and I have noticed this morning that the towel is soaked on the back side, but there are 0 leaks in the tank I drained the water down to about the sand level and I checked out underneath it with min. water in it and its not leaking anywhere from under the tank I'm just curious what might be causing this or if anyone can give me any insight, here are some pictures of the area that is leaking don't mind the tank I just put water and my bed in this morning so the tank is still some what clearing up, but the water issue is a problem, and I cant for the life of me figure it out the towel I pulled out from under it this morning after draining it all was soaked, but there are no visible leaks
Thanks for any info! Its leaking it seems like right below the filter and where the temp. is that's where the most water accumulation is here are a few pictures I don't know if maybe its water coming out of the tank or not I don't see any visuals of water coming out of the top of the tank and like I said I have looked underneath it and there is no water leaking from the bottom. |

I was running a protean skimmer in it yesterday, and I thought maybe it was leaking somewhere in the tube there was water build up on the bottom of it a tad, but I've since put my other filter system on the tank and removed the protean skimmer and I'm still getting the same results with a damp towel. . . . .

I guess the best thing to do would be to mark the water level and check it later today if there is noticeable water change then there must be a leak somewhere in the tank.

Do you have rising bubbles in an area of surface?
Also---at 80 degrees, a 50 gallon tank evaporates a gallon a day. IF you have a metal tent overhanging that towel in any way, the evaporated water could recondense and run down the side.

Never mind due to further investigation, I have found that my Protean Skimmer has a crack in the drain flow back to the tank going to patch it and see if that fixes my water issue.

good luck. . . check your bulkheads to. if you see salt gathering anywhere that's also a good sign on a leak.
