Best wavemaker configuration for 4' tank
Tanks is 2'x4'x21". Two islands of rocks. Return flow is about 400gph. What would a best configuration be for water movement.
I currently have two Jebao RW-8's on the longer ends. offsetting slightly front to back. The flow is ok but no perfect. Plenty of dead spots. Would a gyre 130 + one rw-8 better or add another smaller powerhead for a 3 powerhead configuration? Tank is mostly sps. |

Plan on keeping the tank more than a few years?
Ditch the china made crap, get two tunze 6105s and a multicontroller. end thread |

There should be no dead spots with the gyre 130. Could go to the 150 run it slower.

What speed and settings are you using on those RW-8's. You should be able to blast the water over the sides with them. Using one on each side and alternating them back and forth should cause quite a bit of motion. If placed at each back corner and alternate them opposite of each other you should get some good flow reversal.
