Six line wrasse?
Thought of adding one of these to my 29, but have heard bad things about them. Thoughts?

I had one in my old 55 and was a model citizen. Of course your mileage may vary.

Probably will be a douche in a 29. Mine was a terror in a 24x18x18.

depends on its fish mates. 6-line has never been an issue for me.

They can be quite the bully and in a smaller tank any future additions will be limited. just my 2 cents.

I could totally see a sixline bullying some firefish, you have a top or screen? If he decides to bully those guys and you have an open top, you might find some crispy fire fish laying on the floor.

mine was fine for a few months in my 75, then turned in to an absolute terror. constantly attacking my clowns, until one end up jumping.

I currently have one that is a model citizen. doesnt bother anyone or anything. The one prior would beat the heck out of my Blue head wrasse. Yes i said Blue Head wrasse. The first one disappeared never to be found, likely the blue head got tired of his constant pestering. So i lucked out a bit there i guess. The second one shouldn't have been purchased, but i have a pretty strong attraction to the fish. It has worked out so far, but keep in mind he is in a 300g stock tank. There is no better fish to watch swim through the rock work.

My brother has one in a 30 gallon with no issues. He's in there with clowns and a firefish. I've heard the six lines are problematic with other wrasses. He's the only wrasse in my bro's tank. I wanted to get one, but I have fairy and flasher wrasses, so I didn't want to chance it.

I have had a few, some nice and others not so nice. In a tank tank size his companions are always going to be on edge with him.
