White spot on my regal tang
This morning I looked at my regal tang who was acting weird and scratching up against rocks and it has between 4-6 white spots on its side. What is the best course of treatment and what can I buy to help remedy this situation? (UK based)
Quarantine isn't an option because of lack of space and money at the moment. Salinity is 0.1026, ammonia - 0, nitrate - 0, nitrite - 0, pH - 8.3. |

Firstly check that it is indeed ich. Does it look scabby, or is it actually spots?

If it is Ich and you can't qt all fish and leave your DT fallow for 72 days, the best you can hope for is the fish are healthy and can live with it, the only way to totally eliminate it from a tank is 72 days fallow, there are no "reef safe" treatments that work.
There is a wealth of good information on the "fish disease" forum. |

If there are not multiple small white dots throughout the outer part of the body. It could be Lymphocystis.
Watch the following video to see if the symptoms match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hRr19kGZyo |
