They look kind of like Majano anemones.

Yeah they're Majano's. I would hop on this pretty quick.

thats a lot of mojanos, I would consider pulling the rock and treating it with aiptasia-X in a QT tank/rubbermaid bucket, that way if they spawn before dying, you wont be spreading them in your display tank.

+1 on them being majanos. I used a kalkwasser (lime) paste on mine with great results. Cheap and effective is how I do it!

Would taking them out individually without removing the live rock be sufficient? I have a lot of brittle stars on the rock I would like to keep

If you don't have any Kalkwasser or Aiptaisa-X lying around you might want to take the rock out and burn the Majanos off with a cigarette lighter or something. Dip the rock in a bucket of salt water afterwards & use a brush to remove any remaining tissue. Piece of cake. GL.

The micro fauna living on and within the rock should be fine just as long as you don't take all day to do this. Keep dipping the rock in the bucket of saltwater every 30 seconds or so if you need to.

You could theoretically RIP them off as the anemone can sometimes be grabbed with forceps or tweezers and pulled off the rock. If the rock is removed from the water, ice or other irritant can be applied to help get it to release it’s foot hold on the rock.

Let's just say I kind of forced my rock through the top of my slot in the acrylic tank and would like to try and avoid getting it out if all possible. Could I pick up kalkwasser or aiptasia-x from a petco?

Not a good idea they reproduce by pedal laceration which means any piece left behind will spawn another Majano, if not 10 more.

You can get the kalk from ebay or amazon. Just google calcium hydroxide.

Strange i thought that was the Aiptasia that had that ability and the Majano did not

They can reproduce two ways pedal laceration and longitudinal fission.
