I never notice the wrasse picking at rocks, but when anyone is near the tank, all of the fish are begging for food. The way he eats what I feed he gets so fat he looks like he will burst, so that might deter him from bothering to hunt much.

Yeah if you feel comfortable doing it, then maybe give it a shot? Snorvich is really helpful with these questions in the sticky thread that he runs.
Im realizing that I need to just go slower and wait till I have success with an easier tank before I start pushing the bounds like that. |
