Red Sea Foundation Test Kit Question

Hi RC,

So in preparation for my return to the hobby I have been getting in touch, so to speak, with the newer tech.

I have a new Red Sea Foundation Test Kit, which is based on Titration (Which I amazingly still recall from high school ). However, I do not understand how one can "decide" if the color matches the end color in the kit.

Is sight not ambiguous? If the beginning color is green and final orange, is the titration complete when it is JUST looking a tiny bit orange (And stays there), or does it need to match the shade as well?

(FYI I am practicing with 5g LFS water, to both get some experience and see if I will be utilizing them in the future)

The red seat test are a pain and take forever, but are typically fairly accurate. I use them myself. The Mg test is the worst one.

I have just done the Calcium one so far, and it was relatively painless. I will try all three later

Once you see the color getting close to the end color, I usually add about another 2 drops until it's completely the end color. if using properly you should see the beginning color gradually turning to the end color.
