Protein Skimming in Biocube 29

Is the Coralife Biocube Protein Skimmer really as bad as I keep hearing? If so what recommendations does RC have as far as protein skimming.

This is what I am running on my BC29
Tunze DOC 9001 Nano Protein Skimmer
Works great for me.

When I had a Biocube I used the AquaticLife 115. Worked fine.

Aqua euro nano skimmer 2 also works good and is cheap.
