Jabeo Problems

I'm having some trouble with the day/night mode setting on my rw-8's. They certainly go into night mode with the slightest shadow cast on them. But, getting them to switch to day mode is a bit of trouble for me. Usually, have to have the room lite on and fiddle around with the controller till it kicks in. And most importantly, never ever put a shadow across it Even just walking across the room. Anyways, tried mounting the unit in multiple locations that seem to get the best light from tank, but none have worked! Won't kick day mode on. Now thinking about just not using the night mode and manually doing it since that is what I'm doing anyways, unless I forget and the unit stays in night mode all day. Hopefully, yall gots some suggestions.

Funny, I have the opposite. My night mode does not come on at all and all the lights are out in the house at night. Im wondering if its is because of my Jebao DC pump control is next to it and the reflection of the that light off the wall is causing the problem.

I have found with the Jabeo`s, they work better when you unplug the power every couple of days. As far as the day/night function. The currents and tides on the reef do not slow down at night so why should the pumps.
