MH/Kessil Bulb Choice
Hi All, I am in the planning phase of my 300DD build and am trying to decide between 20k Radium bulbs and 14k Phoenix. The plan is to run 3x250mh with 3xA360we Kessils. This is going to be my first experience with mh, so I'm looking for some advice.

The phoenix bulbs are discontinued currently, and despite rumors of production resuming, nobody can actually confirm they're available or will be available

Phoenix 14000K and Radium 20000K are nearly identical in spectral output. I compared them on Sanjay's database and they are super close to each other.

Well, since the Kessils have an adjustable spectrum, I'd go for MH in the 14K range. Assuming you're not going for a deep-water tank, that is.

Thanks for the input. I did read about the Phoenix bulbs being discontinued, but I think I might be able to get my hands on a few.
The tank will be a mixed reef. I currently ramp my pair of Kessils up to 85% Color for 6 hours a day. I do like a blueish look to my tank.
