I need help... everything's going wrong.

So I posted couple days ago about my tang having either black ich or HLLE.. was pretty confident it was HLLE... well.. it's not. It's definitely damn black ich.
Ugh, I just can't win! Now, if I have to QT my fish.. do I have to QT my tang, my clown and sand sifter???!!
What do I feed the sand sifter if I do this?!

Ugh that's just one problem.
Found a nudibranch.. and now gotta get rid of that... and my trumpets are not doing well and I've done everything to make it better.

Just please. Advice.

Yes to qt. do some research specifically on black ich, as I am not familiar with the recommended treatments. Post your water parameters and all info about the tank including time it has been setup, all recent additions.

45 gallon
Ph 8.1
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Alk 12
Cal 440
Phos 0
Canister filtration
2 circulation pumps 80gph?
Octareef skimmer
Been almost over a year and a half. Only recent addition is the tang and clown.

The clown show no signs of anything. The tang came from a store that I was told runs copper and all that jazz... sigh.

I had a tiny blue tang in my 69 for a month and a half. And it was easily the dumbest thing I have done to date in this hobby. Take the tang back. 45 is not sufficient for any tang, sorry. I would qt and treat the other fish though. As well as have a specific qt protocol for all new introductions.

Knock on wood I have not had to deal with black ich. I would post this in the fish disease forum. There are some very good disease experts over there. I believe the treatment involves formalin dips.

yea the 45 gallon will never let the tang be happy no matter what treatment you give it. it will be stressed out and proned to illness. take it back to the store

are you sure you need to get rid of the nudibranch? have you identified it as a pest nudi? or are you just jumping the gun and assuming its bad???

The tang is still kinda little. Not that nig. There is tons of space for it. Hasn't been showing any stress signs.

What kind of tang is it. And bravo is right, the stress from the small tank will cause all kinds of issues. Also stress signs= coming down with a disease

Protocols for black ich are much the same as actual ich. Black ich is actually a flatworm, and I believe a dip as well as isolation is indicated. You need to do some googling and reading. The thing has a sandbed phase like ich and treatment in a bare tank and isolation would be indicated. Prazipro may help the tank in general. A general treatment like Flatworm Exit would take out much of your worm/tubeworm, bristleworm population and you would need to replace those. I've never personally had these problems, but you have choices to make and I would advise some lookup and reading before making those choices.

im not trying to get on to you or anything all im trying to do is help you when I say to take the tang back. your tank is really small for any tang. and as martini stated. "stress signs=coming down with a desease" your seeing a sign right now. a healthy fish can fight off more than you'd believe.

I plan to just take it back and wait till I get my 100 gallon. I definitely don't wanna go through this again. I loved my tang too

And I know you didn't mean it as a getting on to me type reply. No worries

I think you might want to call ahead to the lfs, so they have a heads up to treat it. It would be a shame if they passed the sick fish off to the next chump that walked through the door after you left and someone else's tank got blasted. Though I guess this is kind of a reminder to quarantine too, you never know if the fish you just bought came from this type of situation.

I'm proud of you for returning it, a lot of people are too stubborn to do right by their pets
