2002 Rio 2500 on a 3 Hour Interval
I'm using a old Rio 2500 from 2002 or 2003 to help with dead spots. Its installed in a hard to get place which would take a entire day to replace. It works fine plugged into my apex w/GFCI programmed to run every three hours for 2.5 minutes. I've heard this model has a bad rep for overheating causing a meltdown so my thinking is the 2.5 minute runtime should prevent this? It sometimes makes a rattling noise when it starts up is this going to be a problem long term?

I would not run a rio pump on/off just 24/7 they do not like to restart I used to have to hit mine to start them, very frustrating pump.

I'll just use it as a backup. Found out why I have dead spots my wp25 Jaebo pump is only putting out less then 1/2 its strength. Stupid thing is less then 2 years old tried cleaning it still isn't right.
