ATO return placement?

I have ordered the Tunze nano ATO for my 42g tank. I know that the ATO return needs to be higher than the pump/ATO source to prevent a siphon. My ATO water and pump will be in a container in a small cabinet on the ground next to my tank. The container and pump will probably be 2-3 inches off the ground. I'd like to put the ATO return bracket on the top rim of my sump, probably 12 inches high or so.

Would that be okay? I'd like to avoid putting the ATO return on the top of the display tank. Let me know if that will work.

Thanks!
Brett

Should work fine, the outlet just has to be higher than the water level in your container.
