Reefbreeder Photon Owners

What's the magic height you have found to hang the lights from the surface?

I have a standard 220 gallon with 2 reef breeder photon 32's

On the reef breeder website it says tanks 18-24 (mine is 24) inches wide keep them 8-12 inches off the surface. Mine are 8 right now. What have you found to be successful?

If your using optics keep them at least 12 inches above the water surface for better spread.

https://www.reefbreeders.com/shop/photon-32/ this is the one I have. I'm not really sure if they have optics or how I would use it
