Mixing SW in Florida in the summer time

No need for a heater! In fact I had to take the sw inside for a few hours to let it cool down to the same temp as the tank.I mix the SW in my garage.

Same thing happened to me in socal today, I thought my heater wasn't working when it wouldn't go on after making saltwater. Check the waters temp and it was 77. Caught me off guard.

Be careful to add the salt very slowly when the water is warm or you will have heavy calcium precipitation, particularly with the high calcium/alkalinity reef salts which are much better mixed in cool to cold water

How bout cutting a hole in the lid and put a fan in there to cool the water. When I make mine the water is in the 90's.
