Black Cynobacteria
I have a bad case of Black Cynobacteria. It is all over my rocks and corals. I have been doing water changes once a week. Blowing it off the rock with a baster. It is a 180 and a 75 plumbed together. I have a lifereef skimmer, and a refugium with cheato. My levels are po4 .25, nitrates 0, mag 1280, calcium 410. Anyone have any ideas. I am getting tired of it.

There should be all kinds of information here at RC on how to deal with Cyanobacteria. If you haven't already, you might want to use the search function at the top of the page. Here's a couple links to get you started though. GL.

I have read that if your nitrates are lower than po4. that will cause cyanobacteria. Is there any truth to it.
