Also, a piece of info I should have added to my original post, I am dosing almost 2 tsp of kalk per gallon through my auto top off.

Alk 128 ppm (7.168 dKh)
Another coral RTN overnight after a waterchange Thursday.
going to skip the weekend water change to see if that helps.

I would up the mag to 1450, ca to 500, stop dosing ca and watch alk a few time per day while only dosing alk

You might find that you are way overdosing

once you know how much alk you use daily, balance your alk/ca dosing at 1:1

Too much Ca will precipitate Alk

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear before, as far as my situation goes, I'm using Randy's recipe #2 for alk and #1 for calcium. Recipe #2 is half as potent as the #1, so even though it's about doubled, it's 1:1.

Ok, alk has been stable at around 7 for a couple of weeks and I have removed most of the sand. Dropped alk again so now I am dosing around 90ml per day on a 150gal system. Calcium at 1:1. Holding my breath.

Alk under 7 now and caps are dying. Thinking of upping my dose back up a little to try to save them

Bumped my alk dosing 20% and ordered a CO2 scrubber to see if that helps. My pH runs around 8 so not crazy low but I am desperate and will try anything at this point.
