How to make Emperor 400 bio wheel quiet?
The Emperor HOB I have is kind of noisy and has been since day one. It's not this one in particular; they all are.
The noise I'm referring to is the water rushing / trickling / splashing noise. Is there any way to lessen it? Aquarium is in the TV room and at night it can be annoying. I had been using a canister filter for a while and forgot how loud these wheels can be. |

raise the overall level in your tank so the water does not fall as far, or slow the flow down to minimize it. I used a Emperor (dual biowheel) for over 20 years on my 60g cube - I never had any issue with noise from it at all.
