which one of these 2 skimmers...hummm
Setting up my 180 FOWLR with 75 gallon sump, I have had great success with Reef Octopus so I am looking at the Super Reef Octopus SRO 3000 or the 8" Regal 200 and they will be internal. What do you think and what others do you suggest????

I know nothing of either skimmer but maybe take in conderstation the pumps Are they easy to get parts, how much are the pumps, history of the pumps. Maybe that will make it easier to figure out which skimmer.

The Regal is a better balanced skimmer. Easier to tune

I have the external Super reef octopus ro RPS 3000 with the HY 3000s. Has similarities to the SRO3000.I think it is a great skimmer, easy to dial in,and quiet.

If you are sold on the reef octopus check out the prime and cone elite (or super cone or what ever its called).
These are their vertex clones and they are top notch....thick heavy pvc, nice wine glass shape....the stand pipe is 10x better than those gate valves IMO, they come completely apart for cleaning which my diablo did not and your stuck with crap all under the bubble pate (and that will drive you nuts when you want to clean it). Also as said....RO uses their own pumps. They have top notch customer service but I have regressed to wanting skimmers with more generic pumps such as the sicce etc.
