Need help purchasing ATI t5 bulbs

Hi everyone.

I am looking to buy some ATI t5 bulbs but not sure which ones to buy. My tank is about 6 months old and I'm starting to get into corals. I would like bulbs to help promote growth and colour. The corals frags i have now are acan lord, torch coral, zoa, and frogspawn. Currently the light fixture i have, consists of 8 bulbs but only turn on/off 4 bulbs at a time.

What would be the best set up and timing schedule for my tank.

Thank you in advance.

Vin

If I were to do an 8-bulb I would probably go 3 Coral +, 3 Blue +, and 2 Actnics, or maybe 3 Coral +, 3 Blue +, 1 Actnic and 1 Purple +.

But personal preference for color has to be taken into consideration. You could start with 4 Coral + and 4 Blue + your coral would be happy and it shouldn't be too blue, that would give you a base, and you see what you like from there.

If you want a little more blue Go 3 Coral + and 5 Blue +.

If you want a little more of a purple tint, go 3 Coral +, 3 Blue + and 2 Purple +.

I've seen one store run 6 Blue + and 2 Purple +, coral color really pops but I feel as if it's way too blue.

What are your tank dimensions, and why do you only turn on 4 bulbs at a time? I'm just curious.

My tank is 48*18*24. I have an old t5 fixture so it will only allow 4 bulbs at the same time. Do you think its better i run all 8 at the same time?
