Just got back from Hawaii and those things were everywhere. The coral didn't seem to be suffering though.
They are kind of pretty.

That's awesome. I've seen crown of thorns in fiji and the maldives and they were doing a lot of damage.

I heard of divers in Maui going after these things maybe 8 or 10 years ago. Leave it to the Aussie's to mechanize such a thing... Awesome
