What type of algae is this? And how to get rid of it?

Just as the title says. This is similar to the bubbles I got during my initial cycle.

Any ideas? And how to rid my tank of it?

Dinoflagellates look just like that...the bubbles are suspicious. In which case, it isn't algae.

Can you get a closer shot?

It could just be hair algae, but the bubbles are concerning.

I agree, looks like dino's. The bubbles are just nitrogen bubbles trying to escape

I meant that the bubbles were concerning for identifying it as Dino's.

Nothing in the cuc will eat it, best is to take the rock out and scrub it the best you can or dip it in peroxide.

There are a ton of write ups on getting rid of Dino. I would do some time googling and collecting information, come up with a plan of attack and post it here so some of the guys that have been through it can help you tweak it.

I've never had to deal with Dinos yet, but from what I've read, it's going to take a multi pronged battle plan to address the issue and not one simple single solution exists.

Ugh... hate dino. We used an orange spotted goby to sand - sift and he took care of it.
